Matt Behrens joined the staff of The Anchorage as an intern in August of 2026. Graduating from The University of Oregon in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, he then spent the next 10 years in pharmaceutical sales. A turn of events led to a life of addiction which necessitated entry into The Anchorage program. His time in treatment marked a decisive personal and spiritual transformation. Through this, he established a profound relationship with Jesus Christ that enabled him to break free from a life of addiction and develop a renewed commitment to integrity, accountability, purposeful service, and sustained recovery.
