My name is Everett, and I have been a client at the Anchorage for over two months. Suffering from the addiction of alcohol for over twenty years, I have experienced a tremendous change in my life since coming to the Anchorage. The Anchorage has afforded me the opportunity to reclaim my life through reestablishing a close contact with God and focusing on the 12-Step Addiction Program. I can honestly say that, but for the Anchorage and the grace of God, my life would have continued its downward spiral, ending most likely in jail or death. I thank God daily for the Anchorage, including the staff, volunteers, donors and fellow clients, for they have given me the hope and assurance that I can now lead a joyous and productive life.
I sincerely hope and pray that the Anchorage will continue to serve as a beacon of light and hope for those tattered and torn by addiction. I, through the grace and mercy of God, will certainly do my part to make this hope a reality, and serve as an ambassador and living testament to the miracle known as the Anchorage.
