Our facilities are designed for convenience and comfort. Our living, training, administrative and worship buildings are all located on site.

Kitchen

Good nutrition is one of the major building blocks for success. We provide three substantial and plentiful hot meals a day for our clients. In 2004, Merck & Company provided a grant to completely renovate our kitchen. The kitchen is housed adjacent to our dining room.  Most of the vegetables served in the dining hall were organically grown by our garden committee. Many in-kind donations are made by many local merchants to help provide meals.

Chapel

Class We meet the nutritional requirements for the body and the soul. Our Chapel is where the chaplain holds Bible Study classes in addition to the Sunday evening worship services. Our staff and clients helped with the Chapel renovation. This building also houses our administrative offices and newly constructed education center. Each client is expected to assist with facility up-keep, which includes: mowing, hedge trimming, garden maintenance and many other daily chores.

Dormitories
Dormitory
Adequate housing is another necessity for those fighting an addiction. In each of our two dormitories, each room is shared by two clients. The rooms are a comfortable place to study, sleep, or relax. Our goal is to ensure each client the space and comfort he needs to study God's word, get proper rest, and have some quiet time. Each client is responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of his area.

TV Room

Other than physical and spiritual requirements, the body, mind, and soul require a place for relaxation, recreation, and social interaction. The TV room is where clients socialize or just sit back to watch some TV. Here clients discuss the teachings of the day and draw strength from one another.

Dealing with addiction requires more than removing the substance. It requires the rebuilding of a person from the inside out. At The Anchorage, we have seen how the physical, emotional, and spiritual elements are the key to leading a life free from addiction. We will do all we can to ensure our clients have all the physical and spiritual resources needed to resolve their addiction problems and re-enter society as a whole person.
